The Langstrath Audio EC24 SEPIA module is a complete dynamics processor in the palm of your hand. Featuring an Enhancer, Clean Compressor, Feature Compressor and Limiter the EC24 offers a series dynamics processing chain that replicates common dynamic plug-in workflows, but all within one module and while keeping the signal in the analog domain for pristine audio quality and zero latency. The EC24 enables the engineer to achieve anything from vital problem solving to extreme creativity.
The Enhancer is the first stage in the EC24s dynamics chain and features two modes of operation: Primary Mode for source enhancement specifically suited to vocals and other non-percussive source signals: reduce stage noise and bleed in vocals, raise useable level before feedback, and generally clean up the mix EXP/Gate Mode with increased parameter set for effortless gating and transient shaping
The C-Comp (Clean Compressor), as the name suggests, is a super transparent compressor for reducing the dynamic range of the source signal while introducing as little color to the source signal as possible. By utilizing a seamlessly transition between two opposite exponential release curves, the EC24 enables significant compression without being obvious or obnoxious.
The F-Comp (Feature Compressor) is where the EC24 gets to ramp up the character and tone. Offering 3 distinct modes of classic compressor topography inspired designs “Opto”, “Diode Bridge”, and “Mu” the F-Comp lets the engineer give a vocal warm hug, smash drums or bring out the rich harmonics of a grand piano all with a single button press.
The Limiter is the final stage in the chain and is an infinite ratio version of the C-Comp but with super fast attack times. Its principle function is to set the absolute limit of the signal source but it is equally comfortable being set to catch stray consonants or to purposefully crunch up the “front end” of signal sources.
SEPIA is a platform built up of Modules and Hosts. Modules are brought to you by all your favorite manufacturers, while Hosts house them for all scenarios.
