The Quested Q212FS Systems design is based on one of Quested's most popular and iconic soffit mounted systems.
The system has been adapted to allow for the Q212 element to sit on top of the QSB118 sub-bass and be at a perfect height for most work stations with the acoustic center at approximately 1.4m. The Q212 element is a three-way monitor utilizing dual twelve-inch radial chassis drivers.
The radial chassis primary role is to reduce the effects of thermal compression at the voice coil when operating at a high SPL. The custom soft-dome 3 inch mid-driver couples perfectly to the soft-dome HF driver delivering a smooth, powerful and accurate response. The QSB118FS is designed to operate as a true subwoofer with extension to below 20 Hz and again employs radial chassis technology to reduce the effects of thermal compression the drive may experience when operating at high output volume.
