The Quagliardi 501+ is a powerful 500 series preamplifier delivering a clear and transparent response at low and medium gains while adding a distinctive and colorful character when pushed into saturation. Sounds excellent! This became my go to pre in almost every case and I have some classic pres in my rack, it has enough gain to deal with ribbon mics by itself and extremely low noise design even at reality high gain. The 2 stages (gain and output att.) makes it really expressive, so you can get from a nice clean sound with low gain and high output to a very thick and colorful sound that will make your sound cut-thru the mix cranking up the gain and compensating down with the output. And try the x-rel. Button it's something else!. It's really rugged, It seems very durable, but in the other hand, is beautifully finished, it's a piece of gear that most of my clients ask me what is it, and the ones who knows ask me to use it in their tracks. Don't tell anyone, but I even use it to "spice up" some masters. No noise, no compromise, if you don't have outboard preamps yet and want to really step up your game, this is one is for you, and if you already have lots of outboard gear you'll be very impressed and soon will become one of your favorite as it happened to me. I love my Quagliardi preamps!
