When paired with the perfectly matched CXR mk3 series loudspeakers in particular, the CXS18 mk3 enables users to build a seamlessly integrated sound system with unparalleled impact.

SOUND CHANGES EVERYTHING

Countless variables, and often pure luck, can factor into pulling off a memorable, even life-altering performance. Some you can control, others you cannot, but CXS mk3 Series passive subwoofers take luck out of the equation, offering outstanding performance, flexibility, and reliability for professional environments that put a premium on their bass sound. With an acoustic design that consistently delivers linear VLF performance, the highly-durable, Polyurea coated enclosure houses Yamaha’s own long-excursion, high-performance speaker unit, and features an ideal bandpass structure that ensures smooth and deep frequency response—even at higher outputs. With the CXS mk3 Series reliably delivering your bass with serious power and startling precision, you’ll never have to question if your bottom end performance can rise to the occasion when you need it most.

SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT IN ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE

All series models come equipped with Yamaha’s own customized, long-excursion speaker units specifically designed for subwoofers. The 18” model features a 4” voice coil, while the 15” and 12” models employ 3” voice coils, ensuring high durability. Series enclosures adopt an ideal bandpass structure, significantly reducing unwanted noise even at high outputs. The combination of large-diameter ports and a wide high-performance grille significantly eliminates wind noise, enabling powerful, clear, and deep sub-bass reproduction. The cabinet exterior employs a robust, scratch-resistant polyurea coating, protecting the enclosure from impacts during transport, installation, and removal. Power and High-Performance DSP That Unlock Performance

ADVANCED FEATURES THAT IMPROVE WORKFLOW

When used in combination with Yamaha PX and PC-D Series amplifiers or other compatible signal processors, CXS mk3 series subwoofers can take full advantage of dedicated speaker processor tuning settings. Low frequencies are typically non-directional, resulting in equal sound pressure levels on both audience and stage sides. When two or more CXS mk3 units are used in combination with Yamaha PX and PC-D Series amplifiers or other compatible signal processors, the cardioid mode enables more effective bass control by efficiently increasing audience-side output while simultaneously reducing stage-side sound pressure for optimized monitoring performance.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0658/8848/5479/files/yamaha-cxs18-mkiii-18-passive-subwoofer_523307_1_18fdf43f-ba52-4396-9685-44f85c659eba.jpg?v=1792615507
