With a shock-mounted Mylar capsule sputtered in gold and custom-made components, the ML-1 is NOT just any ordinary microphone. It was designed in tandem with the VMS-One preamp to provide an exceedingly flat output for the VMS microphone and preamp software modules to act upon.

The ML-1 is a large-diaphragm condenser designed to have an extremely neutral and uncolored sound, excellent transient response, and wide (but flat) frequency response. VMS alters the ML-1’s output to recreate the sound of numerous vintage microphone and preamp combinations digitally. The ML-1 was designed in order to accurately capture a source, specifically for post-processing by the VMS software.

ML-2 SMALL DIAPHRAGM MODELING MICROPHONE

Slate Digital's Virtual Microphone System has taken another step forward with the release of the Slate Digital VMS ML-2 Small Diaphragm Modeling Microphone. The Slate Digital ML-2 picks up where its predecessor, the ML-1, left off in terms of modeling technology, but since its a small-diaphragm microphone, you can fit it into tighter spaces and ensure accurate placement.

The Slate ML-2 microphone features a similar linear and flat frequency response to its larger sibling and a side-mounted switch that pads the input circuit and repolarizes the capsule to increase headroom. Thanks to these features, the ML-2 can be utilized for both dynamic and condenser emulations on instruments without ever having to change the microphone's physical position.

INCLUDED EMULATIONS:

CLASSIC TUBES 1 & 2 (8 MIC MODELS): FG-12, FG-M7, FG-800, FG-800M, FG-269, FG-251, FG-47, FG-67

CLASSIC TUBES 3 EXPANSION PACK (5 MIC MODELS): FG-37A, FG-44, FG-47 MKII, FG-49, FG-67 MKII

BLACKBIRD MICS EXPANSION PACK (5 MIC MODELS): B-251, B-12, B-67, B-49, B-47

CLASSIC 87 EXPANSION PACK (3 MIC MODELS): SD-87 MKI, SD-87 MKII, SD-87 AI

CLASSIC INSTRUMENTS (19 MIC MODELS): S-451, S-421, S-414 Normal, S-414 Dynamic, S-222, S-121 Normal, S-121 Dynamic, S-112, S-112B, S-67, S-57, S-57 Modern, S-47F, S-7, S-Custom Tom, S-Custom Kick, S-Custom Snare, S-E20, S-12

INCLUDED VMR PREAMPS (2 VIRTUAL MODULES): FG-73, FG-76

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0658/8848/5479/files/slate-digital-complete-mic-bundle_199291_1_6697eab7-2f79-40b9-984a-81607cc907ec.jpg?v=1787095299
