If you’re mixing totally in the box and\r\nhave been longing for some analog lovin’, then this will certainly fit the bill.\r\nIt has separate adjustments for all speeds so you can align it for 7.5, 15 or\r\n30 IPS and toggle between all three speeds in order to compare the\r\ndifference before committing. This takes place in the\r\npower supply, transport and audio boards. Roughly 500 solder points and\r\n80 IC chips are reworked, re-soldered or cleaned... and that’s on the two\r\ntrack machines. The total number of solder points and connectors\r\nmultiplies quickly as tracks are added.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eAll of this happens before the machine is even turned on. Everything is resoldered\r\nto help insure that future problems are headed off at the pass.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eAfter that, every transport adjustment is made - lifters, brakes, tensions,\r\netc., then on to the audio. All audio channels are aligned at all speeds.\r\nCertain capacitors get replaced, like the capacitor that controls the\r\naccuracy of the counter. We recap certain capacitors on the audio cards\r\nWe strive to have a complete restoration, yet meet an affordable price\r\npoint.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eAfter all of that we burn them in and stress test each machine by running\r\nthrough multiple alignments so no other issues pop up before they go out\r\nthe door. Each\r\nchannel is broken up into separate cards to handle the different tasks of the\r\nchannel. If a problem is to occur, we can diagnose it together by swapping\r\ncards and the problematic card can be shipped to me for repair or\r\nreplacement. The same goes for the transport and power supply.
