Rearward radiation can be reduced by up to approximately 10 dB. A single Cardioid Closed XTD provides directional control from approximately 20 to 200 Hz, while larger mixed configurations combine front-fire output with Cardioid control. Every XTD can operate in Closed or Ported mode. Ported increases efficiency and maximum low-frequency output for greater headroom and impact. Closed prioritises control, definition, and resolution, while providing Cardioid operation over the widest frequency range.
