A 32-bit SHARC DSP with custom 96 kHz\/32-bit conversion drives the HEDD Lineariser, which corrects phase for precise transients and imaging. A desk filter, high and low shelving, a bass-extension mode and HEDD’s Closed or Ported (CoP) design let you adapt the monitors to your room. The BASS 12 adds a 12-inch driver with a 2.5-inch voice coil, powered by 700 W, reaching down to 20 Hz, or 16 Hz in LFE mode, at up to 115 dB SPL. Its DSP handles crossover filtering, variable phase, Satellite OFFSET position compensation and group delay compensation. HEDD lists the Type 20 MK2 as a compatible partner for the BASS 12, so the system works as a linear-phase sub-satellite setup, and the free HEDD CTRL software manages all three units.
