It's ideal for tracking; the eight 4th Gen mic preamps have an impressive 69 dB of gain, capable of capturing the most dynamic performances, with Auto Gain and Clip Safe modes taking care of levels so you can focus on the take. Scarlett 18i20 is also the perfect hub to integrate your DAW and hardware with more than enough analog and digital I/O to connect a huge number of external instruments, processors, and effects, and manage complex routing with incredible ease via Focusrite Control 2 software.

Scarlett 18i20 now features 16 channels of ADAT I/O (at 44.1/48 kHz), allowing users to expand from eight analog inputs and 10 analog outputs to a total of 24 inputs and 28 outputs—perfect for live sessions, large recordings, and I/O-heavy setups. Additionally, the multi-channel Auto Gain is now accessible via the Focusrite Control 2 mobile app, allowing you to stay focused on the performance with fewer trips to the computer. This was previously only available on the front panel and via the FC2 desktop app. Finally, monitor groups are now available across Scarlett 16i16, 18i16, and 18i20 4th Gen, making multi-speaker setups, including 2.1 and 5.1 surround, easier to manage. Unlock these new features by connecting your interface to your computer and updating Focusrite Control 2.

CAPTURE EVERY DETAIL

The 4th Generation preamps offer an impressive 69 dB of headroom, so you can capture the most dynamic performances with high-quality results from any microphone.
