By creatively reshaping sound through pitch shifting, distortion, and degradation, EastWest transformed everything from synths and keys to orchestral textures and guitars into dynamic, expressive instruments. Whether crafting hip-hop beats, atmospheric soundtracks, or experimental electronic music, these sounds provide the raw energy and depth to inspire new sonic frontiers.

MODERN CONTROLS TO SHAPE THE CHAOS OR AMPLIFY THE MAYHEM

LO-FI’s user interface centers around an XY Pad with 4 selectable Macro Effects that change multiple parameters simultaneously. Blending a vintage knob-per-function design with sleek modern styling, all of LO-FI’s controls are easily accessible in a single page - from dual filters that can be modulated to an advanced 16-step arpeggiator, a multi-mode portamento (glide), and a bevy of effects to widen, pulse, distort, delay, and spatialize the final sound.

PUSHING LO-FI TO THE LIMITS

From the very start, the producers set out to craft something raw and untamed for the modern producer and composer, going far beyond the clean confines of typical libraries. The producers dove deep into sonic experimentation—warping every sound with pitch shifts, bit crushing, and amp distortion—to create a gritty, one-of-a-kind palette spanning hip-hop, electronic, soundtracks, and more. From growling basses to mangled orchestral stabs, each instrument reflects relentless processing, with versatile categories like warped guitars and eerie textures, plus a suite of FX to shape or amplify the chaos. This is a production toolkit with a bold, unfiltered edge—distorted, unpredictable, and built to inspire.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Below are the minimum and recommended hardware and software specifications for using Opus 1.5.6 (required for LO-FI) on Windows and MacOS systems.

MINIMUM SYSTEM:

CPU: Quad-core (four cores), running at 2.7 GHz (or above)

RAM: 16 GB

OS: macOS 10.15 (or later); Windows 10 with ASIO sound drivers

Drive: HDD (7200 rpm, non-energy saving)

RECOMMENDED SYSTEM:

CPU: Octa-core (eight cores), running at 2.7 GHz (or above)

RAM: 32 GB or more

OS: macOS 10.15 (or later); Windows 10 with ASIO sound drivers

Drive: SSD (SATA or PCIe)
