The Pope Audio Dirty-C authentically recreates the character and vibe of the original Roland RE-501 chorus effect (arguably the best chorus Roland made) in 500 series format whilst adding a host of useful features, including effect rate and depth control, a mix blend knob and hi-Z instrument input. Three separate modulation modes - Vibrato, RE501 and Ring Mod – offer slightly different variations of the chorus effect, from subtle movement and character to more extreme settings.
Utilizing an original BBD MN-3007 chip, (the same chip used in the original RE-501 chorus), the Dirty-C perfectly replicates the lush, lo-fi sound of the original, albeit in a much smaller (and more affordable) package.
