Go off grid with microtiming, and keep your music evolving with probability and pattern mutate.
Its colossal sound is provided by two refined polyphonic digital synth tracks . Load thousands of your own samples using the microSD card, and shape them to perfection across four drums tracks. Advanced FX lets you douse synths, drums, and incoming audio in lush reverb and delay, make your mix pump with sidechain, and punch with the master compressor.
Circuit Tracks gives you total control of your setup, with two dedicated MIDI tracks capable of sending notes and CC automation. Its comprehensive connectivity enables you to connect Circuit Tracks to your studio, with full size five pin MIDI in, out, and thru, and analogue sync out. Analog audio outputs let you listen through the stereo line out or with headphones. The built in rechargeable battery allows you to make beats on the move.

The Novation Circuit Tracks is by far the greatest groovebox ever built. I bought the original Circuit the week it came out in 2015, fell in love instantly, and over the years trained myself to sequence better parts. The Circuit Tracks is a fantastic follow up with two additional MIDI lanes, newly added scene functionality, and an expanded sequencer featuring step duration for each individual pattern. The sound engine appears the same as on the original Circuit but the original Circuit had a bit of digital hum to it and that has completely been removed. The delay and reverb effects are quite useful at low settings for creating ambience and at longer settings quite useful at creating washes of sound. All the knobs make real-time tweaking a joy and all the macro knobs can be recorded in your sequences for looped use. The Novation Components editor is quite good for patch design and as a librarian for backing up your sessions. I wasn’t able to use my microSD card with this, as it wouldn’t usually stay in and, when I did get it in, it would not copy my entire session to a new session slot. I do think this was a defect of my unit and not a consistent hardware error. This thing is great for the studio and perfect for DAWless jams but my dream is to really get nitty gritty with it and tour with it. I believe that’s what Novation would want.
