Neve has pushed the limits of audio technology for decades, from era-defining consoles to legendary outboard gear. Today, as networked audio systems become more advanced and accessible, they're once again at the forefront with the Neve StarNet ADA16 Digital Audio Converter. The ideal balance of premium technology, high bandwidth, and ease of use, the ADA16 reliably connects your audio to a powerful and flexible Dante audio-over-IP network. This one addition to your setup not only vastly updates your studio’s capabilities, but also makes expanding, reorganizing, and upgrading your studio easier than ever.
Chris Bloor, Engineering Manager at AMS Neve says: "I am excited to present the StarNet ADA16, Neve's groundbreaking 16x16 analog line-level AD/DA converter seamlessly integrated into the Dante audio-over-IP network. The ADA16 is designed to redefine versatility in recording studios, live sound venues, and broadcast/post-production suites."
The Neve StarNet ADA16 is capable of high-resolution sampling and conversion quality across its 16 channels for uncompromised sonic clarity. The unit’s mastering-grade A/D converters offer an impressive 119 dBFS of dynamic range, while the advanced D/A converters bring 122 dBFS of dynamic range as well as selectable headroom settings to suit any digital format.
The StarNet ADA16 connects to Dante via dual Ethernet ports, giving you an extra contingency in the rare case of network failure as well as the option to daisy-chain units in Switched mode. A converted digital signal is only as good as its analog source, which is why the unit uses the same output stage as the acclaimed 88R console to ensure degradation-free sound from even the longest cable runs.
The ADA16 sports a simple control layout, tri-color LED output monitoring for all channels, and an easy-to-read OLED screen so that you’re always in control and working with confidence. Additionally, the OLED screen also displays your assigned Dante subscriptions and the unit itself supports remote-controlled muting, giving you extra flexibility in a larger or multi-room setup.
Built to fit within any outboard rack, the StarNet ADA16 exponentially grows and improves your setup while taking up minimal space. Networked studios have become increasingly popular over the years, and the Neve ADA16 matches Neve quality to your Dante-enabled studio. Check out the ADA16 for yourself to take your studio space to the next level.
