Moog DFAM Semi-Modular Eurorack Analog Percussion Synthesizer (Demo Deal)

The Moog DFAM (Drummer From Another Mother) is a semi-modular, percussive 8-step synthesizer tailor-made for big, fat drum sounds. With a pre-wired design, the DFAM requires no patching, making it extremely easy to use. With two wide-range analog oscillators, a white noise generator, Moog’s classic Ladder filter, and three dedicated envelope filters, the DFAM has everything you need to quickly start synthesizing new and unique rhythms.

RICH ANALOG SOUNDS

DFAM is equipped with three sound sources for sculpting thick, rich drum sounds: two VCOs and a white noise generator. Each Oscillator contains two selectable Waveforms, each with a distinctly different sound. The Triangle wave is a very smooth and “warm” sounding waveform consisting of odd-numbered harmonics only, making it ideal for crafting organic percussion sounds like toms or marimbas, and also for recreating classic analog drum sounds. The Square wave provides more harmonic content and a more aggressive sound, making it better suited for creating deep, hard-hitting bass sounds or adding metallic characteristics to higher pitched FM sounds. Blend signals together with the built-in white noise generator or an external audio input for limitless possibilities.

SIMPLE SOUND SCULPTING

The DFAM features the classic Moog Ladder Filter topology, with both Low Pass and High Pass frequency responses available, making it easy to sculpt everything from kicks and snares to hi hats and bells. Dial in tight, punchy kicks or fat, sustained snares using dedicated analog envelopes for the VCO, VCF and VCA circuits.

SUPER-SIMPLE SEQUENCING

The Moog DFAM is an intuitive drum machine uniquely expressive hands-on approach to percussive pattern creation. Quickly create rhythms using DFAMs 8-step sequencer. Two rows of knobs provide control over pitch and velocity, with separate controls for tempo. You can even manually trigger sounds using the trigger button. An expansive patchbay with 24 3.5 mm patch points makes it easy to integrate additional synthesis modules. You can even combine DFAM with a Moog Mother-32 to unlock new all new possibilities, or push the sonic limits even farther with complete Eurorack integration.
