Merging Technologies Anubis Pro
The Merging Technologies Anubis Pro is a ground-breaking new audio interface that adapts to any workflow. Perfect for recording, mixing, or producing, the Anubis is equipped with two premium Swiss-engineered preamps, pristine-sounding ADDA converters, two high-quality headphone preamps, and RAVENNA/AES67 connectivity for networked audio systems. And with additional software functionality available in the form of the downloadable “Missions”, the capabilities of the Anubis are virtually limitless.
Cutting-edge DesignThe Anubis is equipped with two mastering-grade preamps with 139 dB of headroom for unparalleled dynamic range. Quickly connect instruments and line level devices using the easy-access front panel Hi-Z inputs.
By utilizing a state-of-the-art converter design, the Anubis delivers ultra-transparent A/D and D/A conversion. Monitor performances with crystal clarity using four balanced outputs—perfect for A/Bing mixes between two sets of speakers. Two independent stereo headphone jacks with industry-leading amplification allow you to monitor tracks with unprecedented detail.
Advanced Monitoring ControlsThe Anubis is much more than a simple desktop audio interface. Different stages of the creative process require different tools, and the Anubis is designed to adapt to your every need with a variety of “missions,” or on-board software programs devoted to different tasks.
“Monitor Mission” gives you all of the tools you need to create a great mix. Adjust monitor levels, access transport controls, or communicate directly with performers using the built-in talkback mic. Take complete control of your reference monitors, nearfields, headphones, input sources, surround mix, downmix and more with a single, compact device. And with RAVENNA/AES67 support, the Anubis is capable of playing back on systems of any size—from stereo to 22.2 surround sound systems.
Modular by SoftwareMonitor Mission is just the beginning for the Anubis. Merging Technologies has developed a new concept they call “modular by software,” in which they increase the functionality of the Anubis by releasing additional Missions in the future—starting with the Music Mission, designed for music production and live concerts.

Merging have always been innovative leaders in high quality audio and the Anubis brings the high end to the home studio at a reasonable price point.Absolutely incredible converters perfect for any smaller mastering studio as well as artist who want to track at home with top quality before sending out for mixing. Merging is known for high end classical markets but I hope the Anubis lets them break out into home and project studios.
Great piece of gear. A game changer
Absolutely amazing device
I bought the Anubis because I wanted a portable interface with mastering-grade conversion on both ends, 2-4 analog ins (including mic preamps and inst/line ins) + 4-6 analog outs and this thing fit the bill really well. I'm really happy with it so far. Best D-A conversion I've ever heard on the main outs and the headphone amps are great as well. Fantastic build quality and lots of truly useful features in this little box.
My only gripe is that the software, driver and/or firmware have not been very stable - clicks and pops, audio dropouts, and issues when switching sample rates across different projects. I had a really hard time (a week and half or so) getting it to a point where it works relatively well with my Mac now, after uninstalling and reinstalling software and playing with different combinations of latency settings in my daw and on the Anubis). To their credit, the Merging Support team were very helpful and very quick to respond to me. Everything works reasonably well now and I've been absolutely loving using this interface for tracking, mixing and mastering ITB. I've tracked vocals and guitars through it (preamps and line/inst ins sound amazing - super clean with tons of headroom). The touch screen and associated navigation are a lovely bonus. I haven't tried the parametric EQ on the outs yet but I like that the option is available. The monitor mission is great enough but curious to see what Merging has planned with the other missions!
4 stars instead of 5 because of the aforementioned software/driver/firmware issues - Currently I wouldn't be confident to rely on this interface in a live performance situation. Also be aware that if you plan to expand analog i/o count with the Anubis you will probably have to do so via Merging's cards which, depending on your budget can get considerably expensive. I'm using it standalone so no issues there. Great experience shopping with Jeff at Vintage King.
