Whether you are a touring professional, basement jammer, or anywhere in between, your sound and need for the best amplifier was taken into serious consideration.
The Magnatone Super 59 is the modern incarnation of the classic Magnatone. Cosmetically striking in its black levant with white satin grill cloth, edged by piping and sleek and luxurious, the Super 59 oozes style and fashion. A pair of EL34’s and a GZ34 rectifier form the basis of this rock and roll machine. Developed in conjunction with Billy F Gibbons, the Super 59 has been Billy's go-to amplifier for the last year of touring and recording schedules. Two independent channels allow you to choose your voice and mood for the evening.The “Classic” channel is simple in it’s volume and tone adjustments yielding a punchy focused midrange that is quite reminiscent of a VOX AC30. The “modern” channel sports gain, master vol, and the classic 3 band EQ to achieve tones from the 70s, 80s and up to date. An effects loop is included on this channel to allow modern or vintage effects to be used. A shared presence control adjusts the sparkle and bandwith of the power amp for both channels.The classic Magnatone dual stage vibrato is employed in the “classic” channel only, giving the user a deep throbbing pulse to the raw sound. Also switchable to conventional tremolo, the effect then becomes functional on both channels. A remote pedal option allows any expression pedal to control the speed of the effect for some real time creative adjustments.
