The Jackson Ampworks Continuum is a footswitch that controls the reverb and tremolo for the Fullerton and Bakersfield amp models. What makes the Continuum special, is that it unlocks many features that are unavailable on the amp itself. It features the worlds first bias, tap tempo tremolo. Tap in quarter notes and then you can select which rhythmic subdivision such as 1/8th, 1/16th, dotted 1/8th and so on... The tap gets sent to the power section and then transferred out through the front of the amp for a very retro, squishy tone. Within the tremolo side of the Continuum, you have 7 different waveforms to choose from such as Sine, Triangle, Square, Saw, reverse Saw and more.
Another feature is that by selecting the Reverb and Tremolo buttons at once, it sends you in to Modulated Reverb mode. This puts the tremolo in the wet signal of the reverb so when you strike a chord, the reverberation is sliced and diced by the tremolo while keeping your dry signal unaffected.
To get the most out of the Continuum, Jackson Ampworks has conveniently included expression inputs to adjust tremolo rate, tremolo depth and reverb depth.
The best gear advice always comes from those who use it the most. That's where you come in!
