But to get the most accurate sound from your monitors, you want those vibrations going into the air, not through your desk, speaker stands, or floor. If your speakers aren’t properly isolated, it can throw your entire sound out of whack: bass becomes less defined, frequency response changes, transients become smeared, and the stereo image becomes noticeably narrower.
