It features just two pairs of controls - 'Reduction' and 'Gain Makeup' — making operation of this limiter incredibly simple. With no threshold or time‑constant controls, you simply turn the Reduction knob to bring in the limiter, and dial in Gain Makeup the make up the lost gain. The VU meters can display either the line output level or amount of gain reduction. The Vac Rac TSL-3 is 3U rack-mount unit with two large three‑inch 'retro' VU meters and two pairs of steel switches.
