The Tiptop Audio HATS808 is a a drum module that brings the classic TR-808 closed and open hi-hat sounds to the Eurorack modular synth format. This module includes features like independent accent levels, a high-powered gain stage, dual input pulse-shaper, and adjustable Filter Q and VC-Q knobs for additional tuning.
The HATS808 uses six analog square wave oscillators to create its signature sizzling sound, maintaining the unique metallic character of the original. The original “choke” circuitry is fully implemented but can be disabled if needed. The high-powered gain stage allows for further sound harmonization through distortion and clipping.
