Step back into the golden age of modular synthesis with the Behringer Sample and Hold/Random Voltage Module 1036. An authentic recreation of the classic “2500” series dual sample and hold module from the 1970s, the 1036 brings vintage circuitry and endless modulation possibilities to your Eurorack setup—at an unbeatable value.
The 1036 features two independent sample and hold circuits, each capable of producing random tones, scales, and arpeggios that breathe life into your patches. With dedicated audio input and output per channel, plus a sample command input, you can precisely control timing and source selection for creative sampling from external or internal signals.
Each circuit includes its own random noise generator with an adjustable level control, letting you craft unpredictable voltages or use them as sampling sources. Whether you’re adding motion to drones, generating chaotic modulation, or building rhythmic complexity, the 1036 is your go-to tool for classic randomness.
The module includes two independent voltage-controlled clocks, each with adjustable frequency for tailoring sample rates. Use the clock frequency knobs, manual sample buttons, or external trigger/gate inputs to manipulate timing in real time—perfect for synced sequences or freeform exploration.
Designed for standard Eurorack systems, the 1036 module is 16 HP wide and draws 40 mA at +12 V / 40 mA at -12 V. Just plug in the power cable, mount with the included screws, and integrate it with your existing rig or use it as the foundation of your modular journey.
The best gear advice always comes from those who use it the most. That's where you come in!
