Enter the Behringer 921B Oscillator Module, an authentic reproduction of the circuitry from the “Modular 55 and 35” series oscillators used by some of the world’s most famous pop, rock, and jazz musicians. Now you can build your own vintage-inspired synthesizer that fits in a standard Eurorack case, and mix and match modules to craft a rig as simple or elaborate as your creativity allows.
The first System 55, 35 and 15 synth modules came out in the early ‘70s and featured discrete transistor designs, which gave them a distinctive analog sound. These modules were used by legends like Keith Emerson, Stevie Wonder, and Tangerine Dream, and now, with the 921B OSCILLATOR, that iconic sound is back and more accessible than ever.
The 921B OSCILLATOR is controlled by the Behringer 921A OSCILLATOR DRIVER or can be used as a free-running LFO. Separate Frequency and Range knobs allow fine-tuning over semitones and octaves. The 921B, especially when paired with the 921A, serves as the foundation of a modular synthesizer setup, ideal for crafting powerful and expressive tones.
The 921B features separate audio outputs for each of its four waveforms: sine, triangular, sawtooth, and rectangular, enabling diverse sound design options. A dedicated oscillator sync input with a switch allows for strong or weak sync, and parallel link jacks enable interconnection with 921A and multiple 921B modules, further expanding your creative possibilities.
The 921B OSCILLATOR is designed to fit into a standard Eurorack case. Simply connect the power cables to your power supply and use the included screws to mount the module. Combine it with other modules to build a custom, vintage-style synth that suits your sonic vision.
