The IGS Audio RB 500 ME is a stereo passive equalizer packed into a double 500-series module. This beast is equipped with transformer balanced inputs (Carnhill) and outputs (Edcor) as well as a class-A driver circuit. Of course the entire filtering section is passive and it mirrors analog equalizers from the 1960s. There is separate frequency selector for low cut and boost sections. Top quality potentiometers and ELMA switches were used to achieve outstanding performance.
The RB 500 ME is a wonderful tool that can add multiple levels of color to any track or mix. The best thing about, it is that you can set it up in various ways, all sounding clearly distinctive and great at the same. This is the device that gives the studio engineer an opportunity to add their own personality to the music.

This eq is exactly what the audio doctor ordered. For years I was chasing after the whole tube pultec sound and after talking to a few colleagues and close audio friends I decided it was time for a change. I’m happy I listened. This thing has a low end that just says hear me and feel me, no questions asked on the mixbus. Need mid range to come through on a mix, done. Need top end on a mix, ha, done and done. Need a low end so phat it’ll make heads turn and cars shudder... Yea, she’s like that. I’m just sorry I didn’t pick this up sooner and I didn’t listen to my rep when he first warned me. I might want another one lol This unit is a keeper and it sounds like amazing. I say grab one or two.
Love this piece. Really adds focus to your mixes when mixing in the box. I use it as a hardware insert on my 2bus. Has a really really smooth and never brittle top end. Low end is massive almost too big if you push it too much. Carnhill transformers add a really nice smoothness and overall size to everything you run thru it.
I bought two of the Warm Audio EQP-WA Tube EQ's and they were low semi-professional sounding at best and have no idea why they have such good reviews. So I returned them and tried a few others eq's but the buck stops here folks this thing sound amazing as a signal channel on vocals or mix bus and mastering as they advertised. Everything has a very finished sheen, you can really tame harshness with this thing and then add some excitement back in all at the same time. Truly a great peace of gear it really fits right in with all the big brand stuff we have like real Neve and Burl. Also the IGS S-type buss compressor really compliments this really well. This IGS stuff is a steal!
