The Gefell UM 57 is a reissue of the legendary UM 57 studio tube condenser microphone with original M7 capsule with gold-plated PVC diaphragms. The unique character of this tube microphone defined the sound of its era and has been used by numerous artists and producers all over the world.
The preamplifier is equipped with the EF 86 pentode selected for its sonic characteristics. The UN 57 power supply provides the operating voltages for the microphone and enables remote switching of the polar pattern omnidirectional, cardioid and figure-of-8. It can be powered from AC mains with a primary voltage of 115 or 230 volts/50 or 60 Hz. The UN 57 is equipped with an on/off switch, a selector switch for the polar pattern, a 7-pin connector that powers the microphone and a 3-pin XLR connector.
The UM 57 microphone and the UN 57 power supply have a hammered patina finish and come packaged in a suitcase with connection cable and elastic suspension EA 92.
