Thanks to founder Rupert Neve, Focusrite’s reliable products have been around since 1985. Focusrite claims its audio interfaces play a role in making more records than any other brand in history. Years of analog circuitry experience go hand in hand with major industry collaborations that led to pro audio modules, consoles, and an evolving line of audio interfaces. Focusrite began to adopt new divisions to serve different areas in audio. Focusrite, along with its family of brands, is focused on the mission to inspire and empower artists on their musical journeys.
Focusrite Scarlett interfaces are arguably the most versatile audio interfaces in use today, featuring six different I/O configurations to suit any space, setup, or application. This line of audio interfaces puts Focusrite’s third generation of high-quality mic preamps to work, along with additional features to accommodate various signals and inputs. This range includes the Scarlett 2i2, considered to be the most popular small desktop audio interface of its kind. The Scarlett models vary in size and features, from the modest Scarlett Solo all the way up to the rack-mountable Scarlett 18i20 with talkback functionality and ADAT capabilities to expand I/O. Every Scarlett model comes with software and useful plugins to get started quickly without any obstacles.
The Clarett line of interfaces is Thunderbolt-friendly and installed with the highest quality mic preamps optimized for high gain and low distortion. Decades of analogue circuit design experience, applied around 24-bit/192kHz A/D and D/A conversion, delivers a superior signal path. The Air mode simulates the airy frequency curve of Focusrite’s transformer-based ISA line of mic preamps. This lineup is another prime example of Focusrite’s straightforward, yet highly capable, audio interfaces ready to deliver crystal clear sound quality for your projects.
The Scarlett and Clarett ranges offer eight-channel expansion solutions with the Octopre ADAT interfaces. With Scarlett you have two options, with or without analog compression features. The Clarett OctoPre includes the signature Air effect as well as inserts on every channel. Each OctoPre’s precision 24-bit converters operate at standard sample rates all the way up to 192kHz – ideal for hi-res audio – with up to 118dB (A-D)/119dB (D-A) dynamic range. The high-headroom inputs and added dynamic options make these interfaces great for tracking drums, high output guitar pickups, keyboards, vocals, and more.
Focusrite interfaces offer plenty of options, giving you access to the professional studio quality you deserve, regardless of features or price point. Start by asking Vintage King for the best recommendations.
