Improving on the popular SM6 range of studio monitor speakers, the Focal ST6 Series delivers iconic Focal sound and style with a complete ground-up redesign featuring upgraded performance and new features. With ultra-linear frequency response from 45 Hz to 40 kHz, superb output level and imperceptibly low distortion, the high-performance Focal Twin6 will impress even the most discerning ears with world-class accuracy, depth and fidelity. Plus, handy EQ controls and a unique Focus mode allow you to tailor the sound to your mixing environment.

The 1.5" beryllium inverted dome tweeter features a unique design which provides excellent linearity and dynamic range. Beryllium’s low density and high rigidity makes it an ideal material for tweeters, as it can react quickly to impulses without distorting. For the Twin6 BE, Focal has also optimized the tweeter baffle for lower directionality and better dispersion control, ensuring a generous sweet spot in your recording studio.

The two 6.5" woofers feature Focal Professional’s proprietary "W-cone" composite sandwich construction, which yields a neutral sound with no perceptible distortion. Two layers of woven glass fiber enclose a structural foam core, making the cone 20 times more rigid than Kevlar while drastically reducing weight and providing ideal damping characteristics. The "2.5-way" crossover system sends the midrange and low frequencies separately to each of the woofers, which results in a more transparent, linear response than the single-woofer Solo6 powered studio monitor. To ensure an accurate stereo image, each speaker features a left/right switch which swaps the woofer assignments.

The Focal Twin6 BE loudspeaker also includes a "Focus mode" which bypasses the tweeter and sends a full-range signal to just the active studio monitor for a midrange-forward sound that helps you make sure your mixes still sound smooth on less-than-ideal playback systems. Additional midfield controls on the rear panel allow you to adjust the overall sensitivity, set the automatic standby mode to save power, and adjust frequency response using high and low shelves as well as a mid-frequency EQ to tailor the response to your mixing environment.
