Product Description

The FLEA47 and FLEA48 tube microphones are available with a number of capsule and tube options and upgrades.

Capsules:

  • F7: Flea's identical clone of the M7 capsule
  • F47: Flea's identical clone of an early version of the brass rings K47 capsule providing enhanced top-end

Tubes:

  • FLEA EF12 Tube: subminiature 6Z32 glass tube fitted into the metal EF12 chassis
  • Telefunken EF12 Tube upgrade

The FLEA Microphones FLEA48 is an historical replica of the 48 tube condenser microphone. The FLEA48 features a replica of the BV8 transformer used in the original, employing the same alloy mix for the laminates. Like the original 48, the FLEA48 is a studio workhorse that can be used to capture almost everything! FLEA48 features a shortened body and matte nickel-plated grille. The inclusion of the figure-8 polar pattern can provide more focus on some sounds and mitigate some room and studio ambience - not possible with omni polar pattern on the FLEA47. The full set includes the mic in wooden box, cable, shock mount and modern style power supply.
