The low-mass capsule with ultra-thin membrane found in the M81-SH delivers a highly detailed sound capable of capturing every nuance of your performance. The result unlike most dynamic mics is not a mid-heavy sound, but a detailed full-range sound, making it perfect for anything from vocals to guitar amps to snare drums. The supercardioid pickup pattern minimizes proximity effect and provides superior off-axis rejection.
The compact footprint of the M81-SH makes it ideal for tight-fit applications such as drums and guitar amps on stage, as well as vocal positions for drummers and keyboard players where a full-size microphone may be obstructive. The M81-SH now includes the same vibration-dampening technology and sleek finishes found on Telefunken’s handheld and wireless versions, ensuring consistent performance and appearance across the product line.
M81-SH includes the M 785 plastic drum mount for use on a drum rim. The 5-meter SGMC-5R XLR cable with right angle female connector is included. The included ZB82 bag is smaller than older iterations (8.5" x 4.5") and the material has been updated to a faux leather with a smooth texture and effective padding for microphone protection.
