The Genelec 8351B is a state-of-the-art, three-way Smart Active Monitor that offers extremely accurate sound and full-range performance in a compact enclosure that fits almost anywhere. Coaxial mid- and high-frequency drivers combine with Acoustically Concealed Woofers, a Directivity Control Waveguide, and Minimum Diffraction Enclosure technology to deliver transparent sound with excellent low-end extension. The included Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) Software provides automatic room calibration, remote control, and streamlined setup for surround and immersive configurations.
Smart Active Monitors like the Genelec 8351B enable automatic EQ, level, and phase calibration for optimal performance in any room or speaker configuration. Using the included measurement microphone, powerful DSP, and Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) software, Genelec 8351B monitors analyze acoustic reflections and resonances, then apply precise filters and delays to correct the speaker's frequency response and phase. GLM software also makes it easy to set up complex multichannel setups for surround and immersive mixing, including remote control and preset recall.
Genelec 8351B monitors feature an innovative driver assembly combining a 5" midrange driver and 1" dome tweeter in a coaxial arrangement for point-source sound with superb transient response. Placing the midrange cone directly behind the tweeter allows the critical midrange and high frequencies to emanate from a single point, providing tighter imaging and consistent off-axis response.
Dual 8” woofers hidden behind the front baffle of the Genelec 8351B provide extended low-end response. Rather than firing directly into the room, the bass drivers interact with the Directivity Control Waveguide for powerful yet controlled low-frequency response. In addition to delivering extreme sonic accuracy and phase coherence, this design gives the Genelec 8351B a clean, futuristic look.
The Genelec 8351B features a gently curved front baffle to precisely shape and control dispersion. This proprietary waveguide design maintains consistent directivity from the low mids through the high frequencies, preserving the tonal balance and minimizing stray reflections from floors, ceilings, and walls. This extraordinary spatial accuracy and predictable off-axis response ensure that your mixes translate perfectly from the Genelec 8351B to consumer speakers.
