The Dangerous Music CONVERT-AD+ Analog to Digital Converter is the most advanced converter on the market, compacted into a single rack space unit and offering five new incredible features never before seen on an A/D converter.
Switchable dual inputs allow you to switch between any two balanced line inputs with the press of a button. Use one while tracking and seamlessly switch to the other one for mixdown. Or compare two separate mastering chains and easily toggle back and forth to see which one best suits the song. Even compare two mic and preamp chains instantly to pick the most compelling match with the artist.
The new proprietary clip guard technology removes all clipping indicators from your digital prints with zero change in the audio quality, even if you’re purposefully clipping the converter for an enhanced sonic effect. This helps with preparing your mixes to be released on digital distribution platforms such as iTunes and Spotify, which scans for clipped masters and will either reject them because of the level being too hot or attenuate them which would change the integrity of your initial mix.
Zoomable meters allow you to hone in on the top 10 dB of dynamic activity, which in modern music production is usually where the bulk of the mix rests: between the average level and highest peak transients. This is a very helpful tool when preparing the perfect level to send off to a mastering engineer, or for the mastering engineer to produce the proper level on the finished product.
Switch between transparency and a set of Hammond transformers to explore what sonics will be best for the final product. The two Hammond transformers are wired in series and switchable with the press of a button. Hammond is a Canadian company that has specialized in transformer design for over 100 years, their circuits help bring out the depth in the low end and sparkle in the highs. Bypassed you'll experience the crystal clear clarity we are used to hearing from Dangerous products.
With the Emphasis control, you can dial in the perfect amount of a carefully constructed EQ and compression analog algorithm that will enhance the sonic character of the mix. Choose to dial it in to taste, or eliminate it with the true hardware bypass switch.
Dangerous provides the stability of the Convert-AD+ through it’s Jitter Elimination Technology, or JET. The patented clocking technology reduces jitter to a point where it’s simply not an issue in the audio path, ensuring the best possible mix or master possible. I did not expect so much improvement. Using the Dangerous AD+ as Master Clock to sync my Lucid 88192s the DA sounded so much better. Much better in all aspects, bass got tight and precise (was very loose in comparison), highs are defined and crisp, old sound was too mid forward and smeared in comparison. Overall the quality of the Lucid 88192 raised to a new better level, difference was not subtle (AD of the Lucid 88192 not tested yet but I expect the same improvement). Dangerous AD+ AD conversion as described by all happy users out there.

Fantastic A/D converter like any other Dangerous products!!! The quality of my mastering chain was improved drastically by adding the AD+ and the Dangerous Convert 2 (D/A). Pristine and transparent conversion, that adds an incredible quality if you're looking for a professional, high-end finished product. The transformer color option is an incredible addition if you're looking for that extra energy for rock, metal or anything else that you need harmonics. Loving it!!!

The conversion and clock are excellent. My mixes of the console sound clear and punchy. The option to use or bypass the transformer makes it super flexible. The transformer sound! Really helps with the midrange clarity.
This unit is AMAZING!!!! When I a/b between the daw and this it's a night and day difference. I had to double check to make sure I didn't have plugins on my print aux. I also used it to track vocals, the conversion is just unbelievable.
