ALL-ANALOG SIGNAL PATH

The heart and soul of the ASM164 lies in its all-analog signal paths, including proprietary API 2510 and 2520 op-amps on the inputs and outputs and custom output transformers that deliver the warmth, punch, and clarity that API is known for. Each channel (including Mix-A and Mix-B) feature insert send and return points for direct connection to outboard processors or patch bays.

PRECISE CONTROLS AND FLEXIBLE ROUTING

All channels sport 31-step detented level controls for precise adjustments and perfect recall, while the pan knobs are continuously variable with a center detent. Each channel can be assigned to Mix-A, Mix-B, or both, giving you the flexibility to try out different mix bus processing or break your mix into stems. All channel inputs, sends, and returns are accessed via DB-25 connectors for seamless integration with professional audio interfaces and converters, while the mix outputs and inserts all feature dedicated XLR and TRS jacks.

COMPREHENSIVE METERING

The ASM164 also boasts comprehensive metering, including real analog VU meters for monitoring your mix levels and 4-segment LED meters on each channel for instant visual feedback. Additionally, the rear panel I/O includes a balanced stereo external input assignable to either mix bus. A robust external power supply ensures clean, reliable power delivery and noiseless performance.
