Fairman TMEQ – No Longer Available
Product Description
The Fairman TMEQ is the ultimate six-band stereo all tube equalizer based upon a tube circuit design from the late 60s. The working principle is a frequency controlled amplifier. The signal path does not get in contact with the frequency dedicating components and will therefore perform with a higher phase linearity. In fact, each of the 12 tube circuits are frequency controlled amplifiers. The result gives an outstanding and unique sound provided by the TMEQ. Only switches are used on all controllers for precision setting when used in the mastering process.
The six EQ/Filter bands:
Lo-cut: 20Hz - 80Hz 11 positions - 12dB/Oct @ 80Hz and 18dB/Oct @ 20Hz
Lo-boost: 40Hz - 120Hz 17 positions - 6dB or 12dB/Oct
Boost switch 19 positions in 0.75dB/steps
Lo-mid: 60Hz - 1.6KHz 17 positions boost or cut, High Q 18dB/Oct, medium Q 12dB/Oct, low Q 6dB/Oct
Boost switch 19 positions in 0.66dB/steps
Hi-mid: 1KHz - 18KHz 17 positions boost or cut, High Q 18dB/Oct, medium Q 12dB/Oct, low Q 6dB/Oct
Boost switch 19 positions in 0.66dB/steps
Hi-boost: 8KHz - 24KHz 17 positions - 6dB or 12dB/Oct
Boost switch 19 positions in 0.75dB/steps
Hi-cut: 12KHz - 24KHz 11 positions - 12dB/Oct @ 12KHz and 18dB/Oct @ 24KHz
