The VariLink function lets you link low, mid, and side bands with full flexibility, offering a tailored compression response. The alternative Punch setting boosts compression, while the side band mono-maker ensures a solid, centered low end. The Tone Control features an easy-to-use one-knob shelving EQ to shape the overall tone. The variable crossover frequency gives you additional control over the low-end, ensuring tight and focused bass.

xmax utilizes advanced Mid-Side technology to encode your incoming stereo signal into Mid and Side signals. The Mid signal is further split into Low and Mid band, allowing for three independent compressors in one unit. After processing, the signal passes through a High-Shelf Filter for rich analog high-end, is decoded back to stereo, followed by a Soft Clipper and Output Control.
