The Electro Voice RE20 is the broadcast studio voice-over mic used by pros for years. The RE20 smooth across a wide spectrum of frequencies, and because it's a Continuously Variable-D mic, it's virtually free of bass-boosting "proximity effect" when used close. An easy "bass tilt down" switch corrects spectrum balance for use in longreach situations or other bass attenuation applications, making it great for acoustic and electric bass and kick drum. Specifications:
been trying to find that perfect 70's kick thump with nice low end, but with out too much click. If I want click I'll eq it in. Been experimenting with an AKG D20 I picked up and and RE20 I just grabbed. Both are killer for the vibe I'm looking for. takes EQ nice! Add a bit of 60htz, cut some 350 and sounds great in front of my double head kicks. yeah!
