I won't fill this area up with a list of stereo bus comps that have either sat in my rack, or been on my mixes, over the last twenty years. I will say that, almost immediately out of the box, the Obsidian is fast becoming my favorite. The stereo cohesion is just breathtaking. Being able to crank that HPF up above 250Hz is a delight, especially with modern mixes, and let's just say the Skull mode with some lo-fi release is pretty...distressing. Only possible downside - the LEDs are bright enough that my camera reacts like I'm taking a photo of the sun and automatically stops up by a few orders of exposure whenever it sneaks into frame. As someone whose studio is awash in blue, though - I don't mind! Kudos to Joe and Josh at Vintage King for the recommendation, as this one is an absolute winner and money well spent.
