Featured on tons of popular modern albums, Chander Limited is a spare-no-expense operation, designing and building their pieces exactly how the engineers at Neve, EMI, and more originally designated them. Their early LTD-1 and LTD-2 compressors met great acclaim for their knack at recreating the magic heard when running the signal through a classic 2254 or 33609.
It’s this dedication to period-correct techniques and components that earned them the trust of EMI themselves to produce the iconic pieces found in Abbey Road Studios, like the famed RS-124 and the TG1 Limiter. Fans of Beatles recordings instantly recognize the beautiful sound that these pieces impart on recordings, and users can be sure that Chandler Limted reproduces these legends to the exact specs defined by the designers of yesterday.
Chandler Limited has also proven that they can build their own modern classics like the sensational Germanium line of products. It’s rare to find an engineer who’s used the Germanium Mic Preamp or the Germanium Compressor that isn’t lovestruck with the vibe, tone, and thickness these units pump out. Need proof? They’ve been cited as integral parts of records by Green Day, The White Stripes, Counting Crows, and more.
In addition to the brand's outboard gear, Chandler Limited has recently released two microphones. The TG Microphone is a completely original design based on the gear of Abbey Road Studios, with tone-shaping options like on-board tape equalization and different voicings. Chandler Limited's REDD microphone has a built-in REDD .47 tube preamp, similar to the rackmount version the brand manufactures.
