The Chandler Limited Germanium Tone Control Equalizer uses active AND passive EQ circuits in combination with the GERMANIUM amplifier developed for the GERMANIUM Pre Amp/DI and incorporates the versatile Feedback and Drive controls as well. All bands use inductors for the fattest smoothest tone possible. The passive low frequency section is selectable between “Pultec/Lang” interactive curves and more standard low frequency with pass filter for maximum flexibility while the Treble and Presence bands are active and designed to sound like your favorite British eqs from yesteryear. The Tone Control equalizer continues the GERMANIUM tradition of undeniable sound with maximum flexibility at a reasonable price. Fans of the Pre are sure to love it!
All Germanium units require and function on the PSU-1, Chandler Limited power supply. The PSU-1 has an internal switch for setting voltage to 120V or 220V (115V/230V).
GAIN/GERMANIUM DRIVE - A gain switch in 3 dB steps, this is your standard input level type control
FEEDBACK - The Feedback control is essential to the sound and function of this EQ’s amplifier
BYPASS - You may bypass the passive Thick or low frequency section and the active Presence and Treble sections of the Tone Control separately for maximum flexibility
INTERACTIVE/INDEPENDENT - As one of the important controls for flexibility, this switch affects how the Thick boost and cut interact to create variations of the EQ curves
INDEPENDENT mode allows you to switch the low EQ to respond as a standard console EQ as mentioned above
THICK CUT - The cut section has specific tunes sections for use in either INTERACTIVE or INDEPENDENT mode
THICK BOOST - The THICK Boost is an all inductor passive circuit capable of the fat dense lows that inductor type EQs are known for.
PRESENCE - PRESENCE is an active section designed to sound like the many different British console EQs from years past
TREBLE - TREBLE again is an active control designed in the British tradition
