New & Current Vintage King Card Holders
After a stint designing gear at Universal Audio, Burl Audio founder Rich Williams left the pro audio giant to start something of his own. “I could finally design whatever I wanted, no holds barred, without any constraints from the executives of the company,” says Williams “I was the executive of the company. I could do whatever the hell I wanted and I set out to design the best goddamn thing I could come up with.”
The year was 2006. Williams began working with design partner Kevin Colomby and the duo pursued the goal of creating the world’s greatest converter system. Williams and Colomby dared to be different by putting a transformer on the front end of their converter and sparked a message board explosion. Little did the haters know that soon studios all over the world would have Burl Audio gear in their racks.
By 2011, the brand’s B1 and B2 converters had paved the way for the B80 Mothership. This modular converter chassis could be filled with Burl Audio daughter cards that would specifically be configured to fit any studio’s I/O. The B80 Mothership revolutionized the world of analog to digital and digital to analog conversion, raising the bar for audio output overnight.
Whether it’s the legendary B80 Mothership, B16 Mothership, the B2 Bomber, or B32 Vancouver, the unmistakable depth and brilliant sound of Burl products will truly wow anyone who listens To say that Burl changes your audio output for the better is an understatement. After all, when you work with Burl Audio gear, you get an increased dose of Soul Power.
