Vintage King Schedules Open House And Meet The Maker Event For Winter NAMM

Every January, the pro audio community descends upon a specified location to debut the latest and greatest gear that will be making an impact in the coming year. For 2016, the scene for the conference has been set in Anaheim, California, and we're getting into the action with a few unique events throughout the weekend.

 

Vintage King / Gearslutz NAMM Open House

 

We were fortunate enough to have last year's NAMM convention land right outside our backdoor and this year is no different, as the weekend's festivities will take place less than an hour away from our Los Angeles storefront. In order to celebrate, we've teamed up with the forum moderators over at Gearslutz for a NAMM Open House unlike any other!

During the last day of NAMM, Sunday, January 24th, we're inviting all of those attending the convention to come North to Vintage King Los Angeles to meet up with some of the leading manufacturers in pro audio and their latest gear, including Apogee Electronics, Aston Microphones, Manley Labs, Meris, Mojave Audio, Royer Labs, UnderTone Audio, Universal Audio, Soyuz Microphones and more. For those who haven't visited our store, this is also a chance to explore what makes our brick and mortar locations different from their typical pro audio counterparts. If you have visited our store before, take this opportunity to check out our recent improvements including a brand new critical listening room.

Meet The Maker Modular Synths Panel @ Winter NAMM 2016

 

During the most recent NAMM and AES conventions, we've taken to hosting Meet The Maker panels with some of the best minds in the pro audio industry. On Friday, January 22nd, we'll be taking over Master Class space 202A at the Anaheim Convention Center and conducting a conversation about modular synths, which will be moderated by sound designer and composer Dean Martin Hovey,

Our Meet The Maker panel will include leading modular thinkers like Dieter Doepfer of Doepfer, Dan Green of 4MS, Gene Stopp of Moog Music, Tony Rolando of Make Noise, Brandon Ryan of Roland and William Mathewson of WMD. Attendees will learn about the technology and philosophies behind popular synths and will get preview of what is coming up next from a few of the top brands in the modular synth world.
