At Vintage King, we’re always looking for ways to honor the past while pushing studio gear into the future. That’s why we’ve partnered with a number of boutique manufacturers who share our love for innovation, craftsmanship, and the golden age of audio.
From meticulously recreated tube microphones and compressors to modern takes on spring reverbs and electric pianos, these collaborations blend vintage inspiration with modern performance. Whether you're chasing that classic tone or adding something fresh to your setup, these Vintage King Exclusives are built to stand out.
The Vintage King Large Badge U47 microphone is the world’s first replica of the rare “large badge” Neumann U47 tube mics from 1949. Featuring a large diamond-shaped badge with our logo engraved and painstakingly sourced components, this U47 reproduction faithfully recreates the look and sound of the earliest version of the microphone.
Designed in collaboration with Andreas Grosser’s Elektronik Service using the original Neumann schematics, the Vintage King Large Badge U47 features a VF14ER tube developed by Andreas Grosser, a German-made Siegfried Thiersch Mylar M7 capsule, and a custom HAUFE GN107 transformer.
Spring reverbs have a timeless charm, and the Teaching Machines Wellspring Stereo Spring Reverb takes that classic appeal to new heights. This beautiful unit offers lush, expansive reverb with dual spring tanks that create a wide stereo field. Designed with precise attention to detail, it delivers everything from subtle ambiance to deep, immersive spaces.
For those who crave the nostalgic echo of classic tape delays, the Echo Fix EF-X3R is a dream come true. With a vintage-inspired BBD chorus and genuine spring reverb, the EF-X3R boasts a 100% analog signal path. Plus, this VK Exclusive rack-mountable version features a custom sliding drawer system for easy tape replacement.
The Retro Instruments 175B faithfully recreates the iconic tube compressor from Universal Audio. Known for its smooth, musical compression, the 175B excels on vocals, drums, and just about anything else you run through it. Retro’s modern version uses high-quality components to deliver a sound that is both rich and transparent.
Building upon the legacy of the Vacuvox CL-2, the U23m channels the spirit of the legendary Rohde & Schwarz U-23 broadcast limiter into a modern mastering compressor. Its all-Class-A tube audio path and faithful recreation of the original U23 circuitry deliver that rare blend of vintage character and modern precision.
The U23m mastering version also features 21-stepped switches for input, output, attack, release, and threshold controls to help streamline your workflow, make small adjustments, and quickly recall settings. Plus, finely tuned gain structure options from the pad, input, gain and threshold controls make it easy to dial in the perfect amount of harmonics, from subtle saturation to downright distorted.
Inspired by the golden era of 1960s British tube consoles, the Mystery Magicians M808A tube preamp delivers the perfect blend of warmth and clarity. Available in single- or dual-channel versions, it features a pure Class A signal path, hand-wound input and output transformers, and a unique Pentode/Triode switch for shaping harmonic character. The state-of-the-art Saturation (THD) detecting circuit provides real-time metering via front-panel LED, helping you dial in the perfect amount of saturation for any source.
The Tegeler Audio Crème combines two mix bus essentials—a passive Pultec-style EQ and a punchy VCA compressor—into one finely-tuned stereo unit that’s perfect for adding polish and presence to your final mix. Use the EQ to add tight, musical low-end and silky highs, then dial in just the right amount of glue with the compressor’s smooth, transparent action. It’s also available with optional remote control, making it a flexible fit for any modern hybrid workflow. Just one of many standout pieces from Tegeler you’ll find at Vintage King.
The Vintage Vibe Classic is everything you love about an electric tine piano—just lighter, tighter, and built to gig. Handcrafted with premium components and played by everyone from Stevie Wonder to Robert Glasper, it nails the tone, touch, and stage presence of the originals without the maintenance headaches. Featuring a redesigned action, custom tines, and a lush stereo tremolo circuit, it’s a modern classic through and through.
Designed to stand out sonically and visually, the Ohma World Motif microphones bring together bold aesthetics, premium components, and an innovative modular design.
The Motif Condenser delivers a warm, detailed sound thanks to its handmade capsule and Cinemag transformer, making it a go-to for vocals, acoustic instruments, and more. The Motif Ribbon brings a smooth, open tone with a figure-8 pattern and active circuitry that adds clarity without losing the ribbon’s classic softness.
Plus, with Ohma’s magnetic interchangeable screens, you can fine-tune the tone and vibe of your mic to match any session. Choose from the balanced Motif, punchy Stripes, or ultra-open Windows to shape your sound.
