Soyuz Lakeside Preamp

The Soyuz Lakeside Preamp is engineered to stand out in any signal chain, offering a lush, full-bodied sound that enhances everything from vocals and guitars to drums and synths.

At its core, the Lakeside features Soyuz’s proprietary custom-wound transformers on both the input and output, imbuing your recordings with the rich harmonic texture sought after in prized vintage preamps. But unlike those classic pieces of gear, the Lakeside delivers cleaner headroom, lower noise, and more consistent reliability—making it a perfect fit for the modern studio.

Crafted with all-discrete, Class-A circuitry, and through-hole components, the Lakeside Preamp offers a unique combination of precision and character. Whether you're looking to capture a vocal performance that leaps out of the speakers or dial in drums with musical texture, the Lakeside adds a finished, polished quality to your recordings, ensuring that every detail is captured with clarity and warmth.

Designed with both creativity and ease of use in mind, the Lakeside Preamp allows engineers and producers to quickly dial in the perfect sound. The input gain switch operates in stepped 5 dB increments, giving you precise control over how much saturation you introduce into the signal. Pair that with the output trim knob, and you’ve got everything you need to fine-tune your levels with smooth, balanced control.

Plus, the Lakeside Preamp features a unique inductor-based High Pass Filter that’s more than just a simple tone-shaping tool. Ranging from 40 Hz to 330 Hz, this filter offers a musical resonance that preserves the integrity of your sound while helping you sculpt the low-end with a natural taper and gentle bump.

In addition to its stellar performance with microphones, the Lakeside includes a 1/4" DI input on the front panel, designed to add weight and life to high-impedance sources like bass guitars, electric guitars, synthesizers, and drum machines.
