In honor of the Distressor’s 30th anniversary, the brand is launching the new limited-edition EL8-XXX Distressor, which combines all of the upgraded features found on the EL8X (like Stereo Image Link and Brit Mode) with the brand’s famous Triad HS-56 input transformer.

The new EL8-XXX features everything you love about the original Distressor, including eight versatile compression curves, three distinct distortion modes, and the aggressive British Mode for recreating the classic FET sound.

Cranborne Audio Brick Lane MC4

One of the most innovative releases at this year’s NAMM Show, Cranborne’s Brick Lane MC4 builds on the original Brick Lane module in a big way. Just like the original, the MC4 uses Cranborne’s Modal PWM compression circuit to deliver six classic compressor types (Velvet, Float, Smash, Tame, Glue, and Polish), plus advanced Enigma mode controls for fine-tuning your sound.

But as a four-channel rackmount unit, the MC4 offers a number of versatile new features not found in the 500 Series version, including mono, stereo, and mid/side modes, series mode for creating dynamic signal chains, dual-band mode for multiband compression, a built-in de-esser with analog lookahead, and more.

Dangerous Music BAX500

Designed for tracking, mixing, and mastering, the BAX500 includes high and low shelves plus high-cut and low-cut filters to clean up unwanted rumble or hiss. It uses wide, gentle shelves to shape several octaves at once, so even small moves make a big difference. With mastering-grade components, a DC-coupled signal path, and a relay-controlled hard-wire bypass, the BAX500 offers big sound in a small package.

Warm Audio Retro 64

Warm Audio is no stranger to releasing modern versions of studio classics, but this time, the brand is reimagining a legendary broadcast microphone for the stage. Inspired by dynamic microphones from the 1960s, the Retro 64 features modern updates for today’s stages while keeping that familiar, dependable feel. The humbucking dynamic capsule delivers clear, focused vocals with excellent off-axis rejection, even in loud environments.

Tuned to hit the upper mids without harshness or feedback, Retro 64 works naturally in any FOH setup. The internal shock mount helps protect the capsule from bumps and handling noise, ensuring your vocals consistently sound great, night after night.

Chandler Limited REDD Mixing System

The piece of gear we’re most excited to check out at this year’s NAMM Show is the new Chandler Limited REDD Mixing System. For the first time in over 50 years, the iconic REDD, TG, and RS designs are together in one fully modular, modern mixing platform. The REDD Mixing System makes it easy to build the exact console you want, channel by channel, cassette by cassette. Developed over six years in close collaboration with Abbey Road Studios, the REDD Mixing System honors the desks that shaped music history.

Designed for total flexibility, the REDD Mixing System allows you to mix and match tube and solid-state channels, so you can start with a small setup and expand over time. Choose from TG MKIV, REDD, RS Buss, TG Buss, Expander, Master Buss, and Control Room cassettes, and combine them in any configuration. Every cassette in the REDD Mixing System is 100% hand-wired and hand-assembled in Shell Rock, Iowa. With transformer-balanced inputs and outputs, hand-soldered boards, and vintage-style faders, the REDD Mixing System is built just like they used to make them back in the golden era of analog recording.
