The Legendary 1073 Preamp

At the core of the new AMS Neve 1073SPX-D audio interface is the brand's iconic 1073 preamp circuit. Famously used on countless classic records over the last six decades, the 1073 preamp is a true studio legend.

The 1073SPX-D utilizes the same circuit from the best-selling 1073SPX preamp. The 1073SPX features a Class A preamp design and three-band EQ, which includes a fixed high-frequency shelf, two selectable bands, and a high pass filter.

The 1073SPX also has expanded features that are tailor-made for modern studios, including a front-panel DI input, inserts with true bypass, and easy-to-ready level meters.

Analog Excellence Meets Digital Innovation

By combining the 1073SPX with convenient USB and ADAT digital connections, Neve created a versatile one-stop solution for recording, mixing, and monitoring.

The 1073SPX-D caters to a wide range of workflows. Musicians can seamlessly connect the 1073SPX-D directly to a PC/Mac for a simple ‘plug & play’ setup. Additionally, the 1073SPX-D can be used as an ADAT expander for existing audio interfaces, allowing home studio users to integrate other outboard gear into their setup with ease.

Equipped with state-of-the-art AD/DA conversion technology derived from Neve's immensely popular range of converters, the 1073SPX-D offers pristine 192k Hz and 24-bit conversion. Plus, it can even be used with multiple DAWs simultaneously for ultimate flexibility.

Speaking of DAWs, the 1073SPX-D also features onboard DIGI I/O routing, allowing you to use it as a hardware insert in your DAW. Front-panel Blend controls make it easy to dial in the right balance for latency-free recording or mixing.
