Since the launch of the Mother-32 in 2015, Moog has been building a remarkable collection of expandable semi-modular synthesizers. There's been the drum machine-esque DFAM, the polyrhythmic Subharmonicon, and most recently, the 10-band filter bank of the Spectravox. If you've been following along like us, you knew something else was coming, and it's finally here—Meet the Moog Labyrinth.

Moog's latest release is a parallel generative analog synthesizer. As you may have guessed from the word "parallel," the Labyrinth has two complimentary voice paths and a dual sequencer that controls them.  The two oscillators include one sine wave VCO and one wide-range triangle, respectively labeled VCO and MOD VCO on the unit. There are many ways to shape your sounds on the Labyrinth, and a 32-point modular patch bay (12 outputs / 20 inputs) allows you to pair the synth with other modular and semi-modular gear.

In our latest Quick Hits video, Vintage King's Dustin McLaughlin is taking you on a sonic journey with the Labyrinth at his side. Explore how the parallel generative analog synth unlocks completely new realms of music making, both on its own and when paired with Moog classics like the Subhharmonicon, DFAM, and Matriarch.
