One of the main tenets of LEWITT Audio's design philosophy is to keep pushing audio technology forward. For its latest release, PURE TUBE, the brand is doing just that by creating a tube microphone with pronounced warmth AND an ultra-low noise floor. What's the secret? It's all in the details.

When designing the PURE TUBE, LEWITT paired a gold-sputtered 1" condenser capsule with a new circuit design. The key to this circuit is a lack of semiconductors and capacitors in the signal path. Without semiconductors and capacitors, PURE TUBE achieves an ultra-low noise floor of only 7 dB, which is remarkable, especially compared to vintage tube mics.

LEWITT explicitly crafted the PURE TUBE for vocalists, and the sound of the microphone definitely will cater to recording them. In addition to the basic microphone, they've also released the PURE TUBE Studio Set, which includes some extras that will make capturing vocals in the studio even easier. This set features a magnetic pop filter that easily attaches and detaches from the custom shock mount.

In our new Quick Hits demo, we're showing how the PURE TUBE shines on a number of sound sources. Watch below to hear the microphone in use on performances from Jimmy Thorpe (Acoustic Guitar, Vocals), CF Watkins (Vocals), Kevin Schuck (Electric Guitar), and Jordan McGee (Drums).
