Korg Drumlogue Hybrid Drum Machine Overview

Perfect for enhancing beats with authentic analog tone, drumlogue is equipped with newly-designed analog circuits for added depth and richness. Designed by legendary Korg analog synth engineer Junichi Ikeuchi (ARP 2600 M, MS-20 mini, ARP Odyssey), these new bass, snare and tom circuits deliver powerful harmonics and thick low end.

Best of all, drumlogue’s simple controls and intuitive interface make it easy to quickly dial in the sound you’re looking for—without having to go menu diving. Dedicated front-panel controls for volume, pitch and more are great for tweaking your mix on the fly, while drumlogue’s robust onboard sound editing system is perfect for fine-tuning your tracks.

On the digital side, drumlogue provides seven digital parts; six sample-based and one synthesis-based (Multi-Engine). The sample-based parts can play any of the preloaded PCM banks and also support custom user samples, making drumlogue an extremely versatile machine.

Drumlogue comes pre-loaded with 128 drum kits, covering a wide range of sounds spanning several genres. Equipped with an upgraded version of the renowned Multi Engine from Korg’s prologue and minilogue xd synths, drumlogue combines classic Variable Phase Modulation (VPM) and Noise generator engines with support for full-fledged synth voices, making it easy to work with your own custom samples. Best of all, you’re not limited to static waveforms—create dynamic, evolving soundscapes using built-in filters, LFOs, MIDI-controlled polyphony and more.

Exclusive Sinevibes Synth Plugin “Nano”

Korg has collaborated with popular logueSDK plugin developer “Sinevibes” to include a brand new synth plugin “Nano” as a factory preset on drumlogue. “Nano” is a full-fledged virtual analog synth with a wide array of features and plenty of customizable parameters. The synth engine has dual oscillators with optional ring modulation, a 4-pole state-variable filter with soft clipping distortion, built-in EG and built-in multi-waveform LFO.

Powerful Built-In Sequencer

In addition to being a versatile analog and digital synthesizer, drumlogue is also a true sequencing powerhouse. Drumlogue's heavy-duty 64-step sequencer makes it easy to create complex rhythm patterns and polyrhythms that elevate your music. Advanced features such as per-step probability, per-step alternate trigger patterns, per-step micro offsets and per-track groove patterns are perfect for dialing in the perfect rhythm.

Built for the studio as well as the stage, drumlogue offers two modes for playing live and recording. In Chain mode, creating long and interesting patterns is straightforward and clearly displayed. In Loop mode, you can switch between several variations to play your sequence in new and interesting ways. Innovative features like the Motion, Accent and Randomize functions are perfect for spicing up live performances.

Customizable Effects

In addition to the Korg Drumlogue’s impressive synthesis capabilities, it also features a suite of studio-quality effects. Enhance your beats with lush reverb, warm delays and powerful mastering effects.

Send amounts for delay and reverb effects can be set independently for each part, with multiple return point options. Master effects can be bypassed on a per-part basis, making it possible to send the effect to specific audio parts. A sidechain bus is also available to master effects—perfect for that dynamic pumping effect.

In addition to the included effects, drumlogue can also load custom third-party effects. Plus, drumlogue’s built-in audio input enables you to process other instruments through your custom effects chain for a more cohesive-sounding mix.

Connectivity + Accessories

Drumlogue offers a variety of inputs and outputs for seamlessly connecting with your rig, including four individual audio outputs, headphone output, as well as L/MONO and R outputs. You can assign any part to any output to expand routing options for external processing or multitrack recording. In addition, drumlogue easily syncs to your other gear via MIDI IN/OUT, SYNC IN/OUT, or to a computer-based DAW via USB.

Drumlogue's USB-A port allows connectivity with other USB MIDI class-compliant devices for additional customizable control. Take drumlogue to the next level with these versatile accessories from Korg:

  • Korg nanoKONTROL2 slim-line USB mixer with eight channels for tweaking your mix on the fly.
  • Korg nanoPAD2 slim-line USB controller featuring 16 dynamic-sensing pads for triggering sounds.
