Soyuz Microphones is celebrating its 11th anniversary in 2024 with what is known as the Tulean Explosion. This wordplay on Tula (Soyuz's hometown) and the Cambrian Explosion (or the Biological Big Bang) marks the start of a year of incredible product releases. And it all kicks off with the Wax Brass Bomblet. Since first hitting the scene in 2017, the 023 Bomblet has become a beloved microphone option in the studio. In honor of this special anniversary, Soyuz is doing a limited edition run of the FET mic with a unique facelift. The brand will produce 53 Wax Brass Bomblet microphones, which feature an unlacquered brass body. Folks at the 2024 NAMM Show were buzzing with excitement after hearing AMS Neve debuted three new products at this year's convention. The biggest news was the brand's new Genesys G3D, an innovative hardware and software system that allows users to create Dolby Atmos mixes directly from a Genesys console.
