Earlier this year, Universal Audio announced that they would be building off their highly successful Apollo platform and creating the next generation of the classic audio interface. The resulting rack mount gear has won rave reviews in the pro audio community, as Universal Audio has once again brought together the best of the digital and analog worlds in one incredible piece of gear.
We've teamed up with Universal Audio to offer fans of the Apollo series a chance to bring home their very own. Starting today, Apollo fans can enter our giveaway using the form below and have the chance to win an Apollo 8P Quad. You'll be able to enter the contest through November 3rd, 2015 at 12PM, then entry to the giveaway will be closed and we will announce our winner on November 9th, 2015.
The Apollo 8P utilizes a similar frame as its predecessor, while expanding to include better conversion, new monitor functions and the ability to connect four units together at the same time. The interface also comes with the Console 2.0 application, which is an advanced version of the original Apollo's console software. This expansion features many advances that Universal Audio mined from Apollo users including drag and drop fuctionality, resizable windows, channel strip presets and more.
One of the most unique features of the Apollo 8P is that it includes eight Unison-enabled mic pres that allow you to capture the classic sounds of gear from API, Neve and Universal Audio. Through Unison technology, the Apollo 8P offers impedance and gain matching, giving the unit the ability to create stunning emulations of both modern and vintage gear.
Perhaps one of the biggest highlights of the Apollo 8P is the onboard UAD-2 Quad DSP Processing, which powers all of your favorite Universal Audio plug-ins. Imagine distilling an incredible analog studio down to one single rack space. Through the 8P, it's possible! Utilize impeccable EQs, compressors, tape machines, reverbs, guitar pedals and more, at near-zero latency and create the sounds you've always wanted to hear in real time.
This giveaway ended on November 9th, 2015. Thank you to all who entered and congratulations to our winner Lance Seiders of Eugene, Oregon!
