However, Edge Note is more than a mere modeling mic—it’s also a fully-fledged studio-quality small diaphragm condenser microphone in its own right. Edge Note’s advanced back-electret design provides transparent, balanced sound and accurate transient responses, making it an ideal choice for capturing the detail and nuance of any recording. With a frequency response of 20 Hz–20 kHz and a signal-to-noise ratio of just 69 dB, you can rest assured that your recordings will always come out sounding crystal clear.

Edge Note features a fixed cardioid polar pattern that helps cut out unwanted noise bleed, while the built-in pad and high-pass filter controls make it easy to compensate for proximity effect while close-micing loud sources. And with a maximum SPL of 146 dB, you can record loud guitar amps and heavy-hitting drummers without fear of clipping or distorting.
