New & Current Vintage King Card Holders
We recently teamed up with our friends at Echo Fix to create a custom Vintage King Edition of the classic EF-X2 Tape Echo. The new EF-X3R Chorus Echo - Vintage King Edition ($2,800) introduces a number of highly-requested features, including a new BBD chorus and analog spring reverb. Read on to learn more about this limited edition tape echo!
Carefully constructed in Australia, the EF-X3R - Vintage King Edition is the latest offering in Echo Fix’s line of tape delays, building on the momentum of the popular ED-X2 Tape Echo. Equipped with an analog BBD chorus and spring reverb, the EF-X3R features a 100% analog signal path.
Individual outputs for each head offer improved flexibility, making it easier than ever to achieve a classic Stereo Ping-Pong delay effect by panning each head externally. To top it all off, we’ve added a new auto tape stop circuit that automatically stops the tape when no signal is detected to help extend tape life. And when you finally do need to replace the tape, the whole unit slides out of the rack for easy access, just like a drawer.
In addition to standard controls for echo mode, speed and echo volume, the new EF-X3R introduced dials for chorus rate and chorus depth. Alongside familiar controls for bass, treble and feedback, you’ll also find a new VU meter featuring the VK logo.
The original tape echo has been a studio staple for decades and the EF-X2 has long been known to breathe new life into performances. Used as an effect, they simply make everything sound better. But turn up the echo volume, dial in some feedback and the Tape Echo becomes an instrument more than an effect. We hope the new EF-X3R will add even more creative tools to your studio workflow.
